Agromag Ltd. is mainly a seed company actively involved in domesticating and representing different varieties of the most important field crops in Hungary. The company is a market oriented private enterprise established by Hungarian agricultural engineers who had been working in the seed business for a long time. Since the beginning the firm has been developing dynamically, its field of activity has been widened and formed continuously. The company deals with grain seed production, process and trade. We domesticate and represent varieties from the following species:

• maize
• sunflower
• winter wheat
• spring wheat
• spring barley
• winter barley
• triticale
• soybean
• hemp

Agromag directly tests the varieties and handle the official registration procedure. It has producing and selling the seed directly of the represented varieties of the above mentioned species for 20 years. The basis of the quality seed production is our modern seed plant situated at Telekgerendás, the south-eastern part of Hungary. The container dryer is suitable for drying 120 container in the same time. In 2000 we increased the capacity building a new dryer for drying sunflower seed. In 2011 we built a new seed treating and packaging line. We are able to do the seed tretment on a high level fit to the highest standards. Agromag Ltd. has become one of the significant firms in the seed business in the last decade.

We also represents some Hungarian breeders in abroad. The most importants are the barley varietes of Fleishmann Rudolf Research Institute, Kompolt. KH Tas is one of the best yielder and most reliable winter barley variety in Midle-Europe.

The company was established in 1990 and has the same name from the beginning. However its field of activity widened continuosly. Besides the conventional seed verticum, the Ltd. uses bank credits to finance production of maize, milling wheat and sunflower for human consumption and for oil industry. Its banking background is determinant for the financial status of numerous large and small farms.

Another part of the company's activity is trading with agricultural products: grains, flour and different kinds of agrochemical. The significant part of our income is foreign trade. There is an increasing tendency in exporting agricultural products. We have been exporting maize mainly to Poland and Slovene, milling wheat to Bosnia-Herczegovina and Romania and for big international trading companies. Before the EU junction we had a significant wheat flour export to Romania.
